Hi Everyone:

We have lots going on in June. We have our First Annual Poker Run on the 5th which will be a hoot! Then on the 12th our meeting.

We follow the next week-end by taking over the cooking and serving at the Father’s Day event at Benton Field. Do you believe that our own Julie has agreed to organize this breakfast!!! You all need to sign up to do your part. This could be a great money making event so that we have the $$$ to fund our own chapter scholarship and to the AE Scholarship.

You will be hearing from Julie as to when you can work so that no one has to work more than 2 hours. PLEEZE LOOK AT YOUR CALENDAR AND SIGN UP TO HELP. More help makes lighter work. Bring your husband and kids and come to Benton Field for a fun day!

WE DID IT AGAIN: We presented aviation program at Sequoia Middle School. Guess word got around because we were again asked to do the same at Cow Creek.

On May 18 six of us: Suann, Barbara C., Andrea W., Sue K. and Donna T. put on an aviation presentation to the 8th graders at Cow Creek School. We had a ball. The students were smart and a joy to work with. Audrey was schedule to work, too, but her knee gave out and she had to give in and go to the doctor. We missed her but others stepped up and helped Donna with the tower communications. We had about 60 students. One young lady loved the tower communications so much that she came back 4 times with another student that she had coerced into doing it with her and repeated the script. I think she may become a pilot… Barbara Crooker "teased" the students with the model airplanes by telling them they would start here to work for Boeing. Suann thinks we may get other requests for next fall, so we are preparing hand out folders.
