Hello Everyone: Well the February meeting was very busy. We worked on many things:

Barbara Crooker reported we had a very interesting application for our scholarship. Unfortunately the lady had not completed all the paperwork necessary. So it was decided to not award the scholarship at this time, and that the lady would be encouraged to reapply.

The Achsa Donnels scholarship has been increasing and when it reaches $20,000 it can be included into the International Scholarship fund. We will be glad to honor Achsa’s memory in this special way.

Donna Taylor read a nice thank you letter from Jane LaMar’s daughter thanking us for our part in applying to Forest of Friendship for Jane’s honorary. Donna is ready to submit the paperwork today.

Suann is coordinator for our chapter’s part in the Math & Science Fair at Shasta College in March. Barbara Crooker, Audrey Schutte and Donna Taylor will also help. Suann will be contacting other members to be a part of this program.

Barbara Crooker reported that we now have secured a name for our web site: Mount Shasta Ninety-Nines.org. We need everyone’s help in working out the details of our web site. Barbara is asking every one of you to assist. You need to help is in any way that you understand: design, information, organization, navigation. Please, each one of you turn on some web sites, look at them, access links if they have them. In other words, get some ideas and be in on the planning so Barbara can count on us for ideas. We want this web site to represent us and be useful. Then come to the meeting and participate. If you want, phone Barbara at home at 549-4275 or email her at flylady@snowcrest.net and let her know you can help so she can let you know when she has a brainstorming session. THANKS!!!

PHONE TREE; Each of you need to be sure to let Suann Prigmore and Donna Taylor know when you change email address, phone number or even home address. We count on our records to email you the newsletter or contact you for a fly-our or whatever. You can contact Suann at home at 722-7926 or email her at suannp@sbcglobal.net or Donna Taylor at home 247-1199 or email at dltaylor1199@sbcglobal.net.

Some of you paid your chapter dues at the meeting. If you did not, you may mail your $20.00 to our post office box:

Audrey Schutte and Suann Prigmore are working on a Poker Run as a fun day and fund raiser for our chapter. We would like to make this a yearly event – preferably on the same week-end each year.

Suann Prigmore is working on scheduling fly-outs and including our Sister Chapter, Sutter Buttes and possibly the RAPA pilot group.

The SW Section Proficiency form (old APT) is on International web site and you may access it, complete it and send it on to Chairman Lois Erickson at lois99pip@cs.com.

Finally, Barbara Crooker gave us a wonderful report on her and husband’s trip to Kitty Hawk. They had an inspirational time. She has some great pictures.

Fly with Flair!
