You will need to pick and choose what you want to do on a couple of items that come on the same day. Isn’t that just tooooo bad! Lots of flying to do. At our next meeting – IN CORNING – Carol Carpenter is offering us ultralight rides at a greatly reduced cost. He Mom, Barbara Boot, is helping her to schedule those of us who want to sign up. So call Carol at Rainbow Aviation or Barbara at home or work. This is going to be a really fun meeting. We have a new slate of nominations for the chapter officers: Chairman - Suann Prigmore The rest of the offices need to be filled. They will be addressed by the new officers. Since we have so many offices and so few to fill them, sometimes we will have to put two names down. If you are not at a meeting, you may be put down for 3 offices… GWAA EAA – Sutter Buttes: Carol Andrews is coordinator for pilots registration at this event. She would like any of us to join them and could use the help. They expect about 500 aircraft. They will have golf carts to meet the pilots. Go to Golden West Fly In and download the registration form and mail it as instructed. Be sure to specify you’d like to work in Aircraft Registration (under Sales) and note that you are a 99. Carol would appreciate a 3-4 hour shift. Friday and Saturday are the heaviest days. You get in free (fly in if you want) and can view the show when not working. Great fun. It is coming along great: http://www.mountshasta99s.org And to think this is just the start that Barbara learned in class at Shasta College. We still have a few members who have not paid their dues. We really do need this to cover the cost of the Southwesterly for every member, donations to the Amelia Earhart Scholarship and to support our own scholarship. Fortunately we don’t have much expense in newsletter mailing anymore as we only have 3 members without computers. Send your $20 to Barbara Crooker. Thanks everyone! By now you are realizing we are really going to have a Poker Run. This will be lots of fun. We are having so many things coming up on Saturdays that we need to get together and decide if we want to continue to have our meetings on Saturday or go back to our old date of second Tuesday of each month and in the evening. Think it over. REMEMBER: FRIENDS ARE ANGELS WHO LIFT US TO OUR FEET WHEN OUR WINGS HAVE TROUBLE REMEMBERING HOW TO FLY. FLY WITH FLAIR!!
