PILOT PROFICIENCY PROGRAM: You should have received by e-mail, a copy of the form that you need to fill out and return to Audrey Schutte at Hillside Aviation or to her home by the end of February. NEW MEETING DATES AND TIMES: Everyone please take note. At the February meeting we discussed changing our meeting. It was voted on that we now meet on the second Saturday of each month, at Benton Field, at Hangar #1A at 1:00PM. Go to the southeast hangars, 1A is the first one next to the last row. This will follow the FAA Safety Meeting that is held at this same hangar at 10:00AM, with the EAA providing lunch at noon. Those of you wanting to attend the Safety Meeting and/or lunch are encouraged to do so. Possibly we can find time to have fly-outs after some of the good weather days. WOMEN’S FAIR: We voted to share a booth with JIM&I AVIATION. Booth will be from 10am to 4pm, Sat. at Shasta Dist. Fairground in Anderson. SWSection Meeting: Chapter member’s attending: Lois Erickson, Barbara Crooker, Diana Ward, Cheryl Knight, and Donna Taylor. NEW MEMBER: We have a new member transferring from Placer Gold Chapter. She is Carol Bowser and she lives in Cottonwood. Please watch for her and welcome her to our Chapter. AAUW CONFERENCE AT SHASTA COLLEGE: We are again helping to introduce young ladies to the world of Aviation. Several of us will be at Shasta College presenting our program. Andrea is in charge and will be contacting us about details. Those helping out, it starts at 10:30AM but I believe we need to be there by 9AM to set up and have breakfast snack provided. Lunch will also be provided and we should be finished by 2:00, in time to pack up and go to Chevy’s as is our tradition….for a short debriefing. This will be instead of our regular meeting date. But anyone wanting to keep up on other chapter stuff, feel free to come to the Chapter Board Meeting on March 6th at the Sundial Restaurant at 11:30AM. PAJAMA PARTY: We had lots of food and fun. Julie made the best pizza ever! We played games. It was great fun just enjoying each other without an agenda. We must do this again. Big thanks to Diana Ward and Cheryl Knight. There were 6 members and one FWP named Carol from Orland. AOPA PILOT SAFETY CD: If you belong to AOPA and have received any of the safety CD’s, be sure to watch and interact with it. They are very good. Wisdom: Never trade luck for skill! FLY WITH FLAIR!
