HAPPY BIRTHDAY LIZ DEALEY – March 26th
Hi Everyone:
Be sure to come to the next meeting. Diana Ward will be leading us in Safety & Survival tips. You should bring your emergency gear or describe it for everyone. Also bring your favorite survival snacks – enough to share so we can all eat our way thru another meeting. These meeting are sure fun and “interactive” as Suann calls it. (I just say, “I like it”)
At the board meeting we will be finalizing the AAUW Math & Science program for 7th & 8th grade girls at Shasta College.
We had a visit to the Redding Tower on Feb. 13th to see the new radar system. About 13 of us showed up. Some even walked (puff puff) up to the top. Was good to see Eleanore Scott even if she is walking with a cane until she gets her hip surgery. We gave her hugs and lots of love to help her over the recent loss of her sister in Utah.
Our “meeting” (?) continued over to the restaurant, Peter Chu’s, at the Redding Muni terminal. Then we all drove over to Suann’s home for cake and champagne to toast and cheer for our 66, Cheryl Knight, and Diana Ward. An interesting thing came up, Eleanore said we should all give some special advice to Cheryl. So we started – it was hilarious and sincere. So many good tips. You would have had to be there. Am sure Suann will fill you all in at the next meeting.
We have selected a recipient for our scholarship. We had two applicants. Barbara Crooker secured two non members to select and has the selection for you at the next meeting.
FLY WITH FLAIR!!!
Remember: A good friend is like a good bra. Hard to find, supportive, comfortable and always close to your heart.
