DIRECTIONS TO JULIE & DON OSTENDORF’S HOME:

In Redding, go west on Placer St. to Almond St. (just past traffic light exit to Shasta High) Almond St. is left.  (at Allen & Dahl Funeral Home);

Turn LEFT on Almond,  go up 1 ½  block where street splits turn

 RIGHT onto Foothill Blvd.;

Foothill meets Manzanita – Turn RIGHT;

One block and Manzanita meets MonteBello – Turn RIGHT

Then MonteBello meets Las Animas Turn RIGHT

Los Animas ends and makes a LEFT back onto Foothill;

Go up Foothill past water towers where road meets Greenstone on RIGHT;  at Greenstone turn RIGHT,  - THEN LEFT;

Going slightly down hill the street//driveways split;  a brick sign on left reads “3670”.  Soooo, just go to the end of that left driveway.  You’re here! 3670 Greenstone.

CHRISTMAS PARTY:  We exchange gifts, keep the price within reason, say $10 to $15 (and not white elephant).  Bring one gift for each person.  We have a lot of fun exchanging and will have a new “wrinkle” to add this year.  Be there for the fun, food and friendships.  Wear your name tag and we will provide name tags for the new members and their guest.  FOOD: Meat will be ham and be provided by the club.   Julie will cook it.  Call Julie if you have not signed up to bring something.

AUDREY SCHUTTE’S PARTY:  Audrey has invited us to attend her celebration of 50 year anniversary of her flight certificate.  Isn’t this great!   Party is at the EAA Quonset Hut, Benton Field, from 2PM to 6PM.     THIS IS A WONDERFUL AND REAL REASON TO CELEBRATE!  Try to come.  It will be so much fun.    RSVP 246-9255 or email her at amscfi99@AOL.com.

SCHOLARSHIP:  We have NOT YET  received an application for our scholarship.  Contact Barbara Crooker.

FLYING COMPANION SEMINAR:  We are working on the seminar to be held next March 24th at the CAP trailer at RDD Muni.  We will need your help!

WINTER BOARD MEETING:  Barbara Crooker and Lois Erickson are planning to attend.  Contact them if you plan to go.

REDDING AIRPORT COMMISSION:  Ginni Mistal attended the November meeting and reported on AOPA.  We might get back our Airport Commission if the new Redding Supervisor, Rick Bossetti, is able to get it going.  This could be invaluable to both the city and to Redding aviation.
