BELATED HAPPY BIRTHDAY - to Suann Prigmore on Aug.
23rd.
HAPPY BIRTHDAY to Sue Kerr on 9/20; Susan Hill on
9/20 and to Diane Schneeweis on 9/30.
PARTY: Our party at Taylor's was great. To add to
the fun, we celebrated with Cheryl Knight as she had passed
her Pilot Test
and is now a full fledged pilot and a 99!! Along
with her proud husband we congratulate you Cheryl!
INTERNATIONAL: We will be represented at
International Conference by delegates Lois Erickson and
Barbara Crooker. Both of them along with Suann Prigmore and
Diana Ward will represent us at the SW SECTION MEETING IN
SAN FRANCISCO.
CELEBRATION: Our Liz Dealey and husband just
celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary and have left on a
flying trip across the U. S.
POKER RUN: Sutter Buttes is joining the Red Carpet
Aviation in Yuba County Airport in a poker run. You can
get an application from Willa Young. This will be fun!
PALMS TO PINES: The race was flown in almost
perfect weather.
Our Suann Prigmore and co-pilot Willa Young came in
THIRD PLACE.
Donna Taylor and Audrey Schutte came in SIXTH
PLACE. Barbara Crooker and Diana Ward came in ELEVENTH
PLACE and got a trophy for the fastest plane time first leg
of the race.
At the Pilot's Briefing in Santa Monica there was a
raffle. Every one of us (Mt. Shasta racers) won a cute
little toe ring with an airplane on it. Just to show off,
we wore them to dinner and to the Taylor's party. There is
a picture attached.*
SPECIAL NOTE: All of you that know and love Lucy
Shepherd and her daughter, Diane Schneeweis. Please,
you need to pray for Lucy. She is very ill. Lucy was a
member. She was generous, funny and loving. We have missed
her at meetings because she no longer was flying.
REMEMBER THIS: Before each flight, make sure that
your bladder is empty and your fuel tank are full.
